Our Programs & Classes
Building Confidence, Connection, and Creativity
The ROTATE™ Method is more than just dance—it’s a comprehensive education in movement, confidence, and collaboration. Our programs are thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of children, parents, and educational partners, providing a unique and rewarding experience for everyone involved.
For Our Programs Managers
Looking for a program that goes beyond the usual physical education or after-school dance class? The ROTATE™ Method is a powerful, low-impact program that builds social-emotional skills, teamwork, and respect.
Unlike traditional classes that focus on intricate choreography or solo repetition, our unique pedagogy teaches children how to communicate and collaborate through movement. Our curriculum is designed to be a safe space for every child, regardless of their background or previous experience.
When considering a new dance program, you can have complete confidence in an offer from a ROTATE™ Certified studio or teacher. This certification guarantees that the program is a dedicated curriculum with clear standards, separate from other dance classes the studio may offer. While a studio may teach hip-hop or other styles, a ROTATE™ class is fundamentally different, focusing on essential partner-literacy skills.
Our certified partners are committed to delivering this unique and beneficial education, giving you the assurance that your students are in the best hands.
For Parents
As a parent, you want to know your child is learning in a safe, supportive, and enriching environment. The ROTATE™ Method provides exactly that. We teach foundational movement principles that develop physical literacy, and our structured, positive atmosphere builds social confidence. We believe that dance should be a tool for connection, not competition, making our programs a refreshing alternative to traditional, high-pressure environments.
Every teacher or studio offering a ROTATE™ program is ROTATE™ Certified. This means they have completed our rigorous training and are qualified to deliver our unique curriculum. This certification is a stamp of approval that guarantees the quality and integrity of the ROTATE™ program, separate from any other classes the studio might offer. You can be confident that your child is learning from a qualified professional who is committed to their success and well-being.
Our 3–4 Year Curriculum Pathway
Our curriculum is a progressive pathway. It introduces core concepts year after year to build a comprehensive toolkit of movement and communication skills. Students begin with simple, body-safe moves and build to more complex combinations, all while learning to improvise and adapt with different partners and music.
Years 1–2: Foundations
Students learn fundamental concepts like body rotation, spatial orientation, timing, and tension. We focus on building a strong, centered balance (axis) and using a safe frame for partner connection. Students learn to take turns leading and following while developing basic creative skills.
Years 3–4: Application & Creativity
Building on their foundation, students master more complex alignment and syncopation. They learn to improvise and combine a toolkit of over 100 steps into unique sequences, focusing on expression and a clean execution. The focus shifts to confident, fluid partnered dance with a variety of moves and musical styles.
Partner Studio Accreditation & Events
To maintain the quality and integrity of the ROTATE™ Method, our partner studios must meet specific standards for student enrichment and community engagement. This ensures a consistent, high-quality experience for students and their families.
- Mandatory Events: Partner studios must host at least two private, closed events per year exclusively for the schools or community centers they serve. These events provide a safe, low-pressure opportunity for students to perform for their peers and family.
- Annual County/Area Contest: Each partner studio must also participate in or host at least one annual county or area-wide contest. This event is a celebration of dance and community, and to maintain ROTATE™ accreditation, the contest must include a minimum of 120 performing dancers.
These events are a core part of the ROTATE™ experience. They help build student motivation, create a sense of community, and give students a clear goal to work toward.
